DISCO BALL CEMENT TRUCK

BENEDETTO BUFALINO

ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
DISCO BALL CEMENT TRUCK
Benedetto Bufalino converts a cement mixer into a giant disco ball, staged to look like construction has been interrupted to make way for a party. The mixer truck decorated with mirrored facets pumps out dance music and casting myriad reflections onto the surrounding architecture.

By hijacking a construction site, the unlikely installation transforms the public square into an impromptu dance floor. The dazzling cement mixer refracts light as it rotates, drawing us into a moment of collective joy, and highlighting the beauty of the cityscape.
