ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
ÉCHO
A giant sphere stands out on the street, blocking the way. Immobile, it generates a form of tension, threatening to tumble down at any moment. Although it echoes the surrounding architecture with its cladding materials of brick and mortar, its rounded form stands out against the rectilinear volumes of the buildings. Part sculpture, part architecture, Jeffrey Poirier’s work focused our attention on the formal qualities of the built heritage that surrounds us.
