HOPE 2.0
Sébastien GIGUÈRE
ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
HOPE 2.0
The oversized replica of a BBQ lighter was erected in the city just like a lighthouse. Hand built by the artist and bearing the Hope brand, the lighter seems destined to burn a flame for the collective hope we cling to in times of uncertainty. Unfortunately, the device seems to lack fuel to start the fire. The work is a call to the urgent need to act and to rekindle the fire needed to effect change.
