SSSPUN

ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
SSSPUN
At first glance, a tree planted on the sidewalk does not seem out of the ordinary. However, planted into a rotating mechanism hidden beneath the pavement, this tree confounds our expectations of urban greenery by suddenly spinning. It momentarily blends back into the city background as its choreographed pirouettes are sporadically interrupted. SSSpun delicately weaves in and out of our familiar understanding of the world, leaving us with the challenge of rectifying the tension between perception and preconception.
