WISH MACHINES

FANNIE GIGUÈRE

ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
LES ENGINS À SOUHAITS
The Wish Machines create a trail of interactive light animations that brighten the streets. Each large-scale drawing enacts a popular ritual around the making of wishes. With the simple push of a button, which brings the machines to life as glowing, GIF-like sequences, passersby are invited to make a wish.

Fannie Giguère explores the intimate connection between a person and the object of their desire, capturing the moment they dare to give shape to their hopes. Each wish becomes an act of faith—a suspended instant where aspirations are transformed into light.
